The World's Most Famous Meteorite Hunter

Since his world record meteorite find of the 1,430 pound Brenham, Kansas Pallasite Main Mass, in Octover 2005, Steve Arnold has been featured in more newspaper articles, more magazine stories, more radio interviews, more live TV news broadcasts and featured in more TV shows than any other meteorite hunter on the planet.

Steve jokes that he was a "13 year over-night success" when his amazing find propelled him into the spotlight a few short years ago.   Until then, most of his work since 1992 was done behind the scenes: buying, selling, trading, brokering, hunting for and finding these amazing visitors from deep space.

Many of Steve's finds are now in the world's finest public and private meteorite collections, including museums such as the Smithsonian, Natural History Museum (London), American Museum of Natural History (New York), Field Museum (Chicago), and many more.

Juggling media appearances with continued hunting and selling of meteorites keeps Steve very busy.

 Collect From the Source

When you purchase a meteorite specimen from a dealer that is also a field hunter like Steve, you help that person get back out to make more new discoveries.

Since virtually no field recovery work is done by institutional or government employees, the recovery of these amazing visitors from deep space is left to entrepreneurial individuals.  The well balanced symbiotic relationship between the commercial side and the research side of the meteorite business helps all of society.   Private individuals like Steve find new meteorites, and a portion of each new fall/find is donated to science.  This gives researchers material to study and classify each new meteorite, and in exchange, there is an official classification and name assigned by an unbiased 3rd party.

So, whether you are a brand new collector, looking to buy your first $5 meteorite specimen, or you are a seasoned collector, or you are a museum curator, your patronage is greatly appreciated by Steve, and your support plays a role in any of his future success.
