Steve, 7 feet 4 inches below a Kansas wheat field with his trophy find, on October 16, 2005.

Right,  "On the set"  and Below "in the field" with hunting partner Geoff Notkin for the filming of the WIRED Science show for PBS.

Above, working with NASA's Lunar and Planitary Institute researcher Dr. Haggi, using a ground penitrating radar unit that was designed to find water on Mars.  Part of the test was how the unit would detect meteorites, as the unit might locate meteorites under the surface of Mars as well.

Below, Steve give a thumbs up as the team made a 154 pound find!

Above: 1997 in Chile, Geoff and Steve meet on the first of many of their meteorite hunting expeditions.  They are showing off some small Imilac Pallasite meteorites they had found.

Ever loving pallasites, Steve takes Dr. Denton Ebel of the American Museum of Natural History in New York, out for his first ever meteorite hunt and recovery.   Here they enjoy uncovering a beautiful 220 pound Brenham Pallasite meteorite.  Getting researchers to exchange a microscope for a shovel for a few days is one of the great joys Steve gets to share in the field.
